Okay the blog has died a death recently and i think it corresponds directly with my discovery of Facebook!!! Anyway I just wanted to share a bit of good news with the world and thank Orange for doing an amazing job this weekend. As you may have noticed its Sunday of the bank holiday weekend, well the story begins on Saturday morning when I was waking up and to find I had no signal on my phone :-( which isn’t normally a problem it will come back…….WRONG it didn’t, and it didn’t all day. We went to Chatsworth house and still no signal so it wasn’t the local area. Hmmmmmmmmm on arriving ats Chatsworth house I tried Claire’s phone and I got a signal with her phone and she didn’t with mine so it didn’t take a genius to work out there was something wrong with the phone :-(

On arriving back home I dug out Orange’s number and gave them a ring, spoke to the woman on the other end of the phone who agreed with me that yes my phone is well and truly knackered!!! This is at around 4 to 5 o’ clock on Saturday, so I ws expecting to see my replacement phone on Tuesday after the bank holiday at the very earliest, but orange had other ideas. She asked when the best time to deliver it tomorrow would be……Now this took me by surprice, so much so that I had to remind the wonderful Customer Service assistant that it was infact SUNDAY tomorrow. But oddly she knew it was sunday tomorrow and had every intention of getting my phone too me :-D So it was sorted my phone will be delivered between 9am and 11am on Sunday morning WOW!!!!

I awake this morning at around 8.30 and trying to get out of bed I hit snooze maybe 5 or 6 times and decide to get out of bed. At this same moment the phone rings….which doesn’t happen very often here especially at 9 on a sunday morning…as normally the only person to ring the house phone is my mum….anyway must stay on track!!!! The person on the other end of the phone was the delivery person with my phone who is quite lost, which is very normal living here, but after 20 minutes of directions and phone calls they arrive with my brand new WORKING phone how cool is that. So this whole post really is just a huge thumbs up to Orange who delivered me a replacement phone in 18 hoursish on the bank holiday weekend :-D
THANKYOU!!!!!!!!! and good bye for now

I am currently selling some of my HiFi equipement.  It’s currently on Ebay and you can find the listings for my amplifier here and lisings for my DAB tuner here.

Now many of you have enjoyed listening to some of this equipment in the past, so now heres your chance to own your very own high quality amplifier and/or DAB tuner.  If you want to make me an offer please contact me and we can work out a deal between us, and get Ebay out of the way.

Spead the word people.

Hopefully more blog posts to come soon, but sadly im very addicted to Facebook at the moment, get yourselfs on there. (this post will also be copied on Facebook, so people who see it on there….trust me I haven’t gone mad)

Birthday and second Physio appointment

Add comment January 24th, 2007 11:04am Michael

Well it was my birthday on Monday, thankyou to everyone who sent me a card or a message (or both in some cases).

Went out on Saturday into Nottingham and after decideing where to go for some food (went to Nando’s in the end after several failed attempts elsewhere) started to drink.  In my own opionion I drank quite a lot and didn’t feel very drunk until later on.  I somehow managed to spend over £40 on drink which doesn’t include what other bought for me.  We went to Revolution and then to Cookie Club which was something different (only been there once before).  This brings me to another conclusion there is no where in nottingham to go on a saturday night!!

I awoke sunday morning with a surprising clear head and proceded to do NOTHING.  I watched TV and played on the Xbox but thats it really, all in all a good sunday I think ;-)

Onto Monday and my actual birthday, which involved getting up for work….going to work…..playing chapionship manager (yes at work)…..going home….then went swimming which was quite good I managed either 40 or 42 lengths, im not too sure as I lost count at one point.  We then watched the end of the first series of 24 which was brilliant and im looking forward to watching the next few series we have on DVD.

After a slight lie in on Tuesday for physio, adam gave me a lift through the traffic in stapleford and I made it roughly on time.  It was a short appoinment and I had all my knee angles mesured and my ankle angles mesured and the physio came to the conclusionthat my calfs are too tight which is making my knees carry the weight wrong, so gave me calf stretches to do.  I also got some other exercises invloving balancing on one leg in various different ways and also rolling a ball around with my foot, the last two exercises mainly let my knee know its movement range so as not to overdo it again.

thats another update for people to read…..see you soon

First Physio Appointment

Add comment January 16th, 2007 09:36pm Michael

Had my first Physio appointment on Monday which lasted over an hour. After lots of pulling, pushing, twisting, stretching, flexing and pressing the physios (Yep theres two. Ones a student from Nottingham Uni and the senior Physio) decided how to proceed. From what they told me, when I damaged the ligament and subsequently couldn’t walk much on it, a small muscle which holds the knee cap in place was weakened (a small muscle that does something anyway…..they mentioned my knee cap moves too much as well). So they wanted to strengthen that. Also the knee joint is generally quite stiff and less flexible. So I have two exercises to do for the first week and have another appointment next Tuesday.(At least I think thats whats wrong, but they got quite technical)

Hopefully they can just keep giving me exercises to do and it will sort itself out.

One some other front, we went swimming last night and after eventually finding a parking space, I managed 32 lengths (800m) in roughly 35 minutes which is good going for my second swim in nearly 2 years.

Also Adam is in Bracknell today and tomorrow with work on his grad courses, so i’m “testing” out the new amp and setting up my remote control so everything works with just the push of a button. So far the amp is working well and the remote is controlling everything in the lounge (apart from the lights…….we could work on that though hmmmmmmmmmm)

Work is still dull and we have resorted to playing Championship manager all day…even our boss has joined in, but what else can we do.

Thanks for reading ;-)
